You know what I love about the last two episodes of Season 8 of HIMYM? The way it parallels Season 2’s last two episodes. We’ve had “Something Borrowed” and “Something Blue” for Marshall and Lily and now “Something Old” and “Something New” for Robin and Barney.
Can’t wait to see where it all ends up.
Right? I noticed that too.. Plus if you think of how it’s tagline is “a lovestory in reverse”. “something blue” is the last part in the rhyme, and the breakup of ted and robin.
It’s the symbolism of the whole story arc. Without Robin, Ted never meets the Mother. It begins and ends wih her.
The writing is amazing. They always had a plan. Im not worried, just anxious.
The last 2 eps of the season are called “Something Old and Somehing New” and amidst all the misleading Ted&Robin stuff. Does anyone recall the color of the French Horn??

Vincent van Gogh was a man who is somewhat famous for his mental instability. He later ended his own life. For the Doctor to go and show him that his art mattered, and that his existence mattered…is amazing. And I wish someone could have shown this amazing artist how much he contributed to the world.
I wish the Doctor could show everyone how they mattered, because everybody does matter. In our own small way, we change the world simply by existing.
